Fresh Food, featuring a private teppanyaki restaurant, the return of Linguini Fini, and an Aussie chain of sushi spots.
We’ve been a little slow with the updates, mostly in the build-up to last week’s Clockenflap festival – and after its major success, including lots of exciting new food stalls, we’re now geared up for the Christmas season. It’s a fairly slow Fresh Food week, but here we go.
First up, a new venture from Elite Concepts, the folks behind Nanhai No. 1 (79%) and Ye Shanghai (72%). Fukuji is located in Central's Lyndhurst Tower, and put an exclusive spin on classic teppanyaki, with five private dining rooms, a sushi bar, piano bar and lounge.
Also recently opened, Linguini Fini (75%) has finally settled into its new home on Elgin Street. To celebrate, they’re offering an incredible new happy hour from 5pm to 8pm (above): $98 for all-you-can-eat chicken wings alongside free Pabst Blue-Ribbon beers. Also in the area, Little Burro (57%) is soon to expand with another spot on Hollywood Road, just off the escalator.
Down the road, Australian sushi chain Wasabi Warriors is gearing up to open their first Hong Kong branch on Stanley Street in Central – the facade's already up, so expect it to launch in the next week or so.
Finally, the Hullet House Christmas Market will return this weekend, from December 5 to 7, with a new Swiss theme that’ll feature lots of festive cheeses, hams and the like. Entry is free and it goes on till 11pm on the Saturday.
That’s all we have this week – if you have any restaurant news, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
