Drunken tourists love stuffing their faces here after a heavy night out at LKF or Wan Chai - and that really should tell you all you need to know about the quality of this Soho breakfast spot.

Breakfast 24 hours a day is the forte of this homey, casual eatery, located uphill from Hollywood Road in the SoHo district.

Not posh, but not meant to be: great value and good fun, any time of the day or night

With great breakfasts, this always open diner is a great place to cure a hangover!

The Flying Pan is to brunchers what Ebeneezer's is to Lan Kwai Fong partiers - a sure bet for consumption satisfaction, albeit not the healthiest or classiest, but nevertheless hits the spot perfectly whenever you need it.

If you're expecting to attend a sit down breakfast restaurant with a top level staff that waits on you hand and foot, you will definitely be disappointed at the Wan Chai Flying Pan location.

Flying Pan is more American Neighborhood Diner style while the Brunch Club upscale Beverly Hills joint. The Flying Pan reminds me of Denny's in the US and Canada.

Generally my boyfriend and I concluded that if we are going to have all day breakfast in the future, we might as well cook one ourselves. Yet, Flying Pan remains our favourite in terms of Rancheros, Omelettes and Benedicts.

The burrito came quickly. I’d love to say this was testament to the chef’s dexterity for Mexican cooking, but more likely it was credit to the power of the microwave. It was barely bigger than a Mars bar.

I ordered the eggs benedict and it was a bad choice.  The eggs weren’t runny.

It’s just that the execution isn’t very good and the heritage of some of the meat is obviously not great. Certainly not as good as The Brunch Club and pretty much only passable if you’re so hungover you can’t speak or so drunk you don’t care
